Facebook, soon for under 13 – denies a day later

20 may 2012 | Facebook might soon allow children under the age of 13 to have a facebook account. Simon Milner, Facebook’s head of policy in Britain has told the Sunday Times that some children are apparently using facebook  is being used by children under 13 with their parents permission. There is reputable evidence that there are kids under 13 who are lying about their age to get on to Facebook.

This move might increase number of facebook users which now stands at 900 million users.

According to Mail Online 21 May 2012, a Facebook spokesperson denied the reports of making facebook available for under 13s. The spokesperson said “All we have said is what we have been saying for months – that minors on Facebook and the internet is an important issue and we want to work with the broader industry to look at ways of keeping minors safe.
