The Plie 2.0 MPC Knee designed by Freedom Innovations, LLC, is the most responsive microprocessor-controlled knee available for lower-limb amputees.  The artificial knee provides individual with a more natural experience of mobility. By integrating high-performance microprocessors and sophisticated algorithms, the Plie 2.0 responds to ambulatory stimuli within 10 milliseconds- or 10 times faster than the blink of an eye. Consequently, Plie 2.0 facilitates a fluid and natural gait, providing users excellent stability and safety from debilitating falls.
Plie 2.0 comes with a microprocessor-controlled swing and stance features advanced stumble recovery capabilities, interchangeable batteries. It features a high-performance aluminum frame, exceeding ISO standards for structural integrity. In addition, its electronic components are sealed for water resistance.
The company yesterday announced its Plie® 2.0 MPC Knee has been selected as winner of the Health & Medical Technologies category for the TechAmerica Foundation’s American Technology Awards, the only national “Best Of” awards that recognize products and services across the technology industry. These awards were named after Frederick Terman, who is widely credited as being the father of Silicon Valley.
