Transparency Report from Google

Between July to December 2011, Google received 101 content removal requests from the government for removal of 255 contents. From these 255 were youtube videos, 40 orkut profiles, 49 blogs and 26 web searches. Most of the requested content fall under the category defamation, impersonation, hate speech. The table is at http://www.google.com/transparencyreport/removals/government/IN/?p=2011-1

During this time Google received 2207 government requests for disclosure of user data from Google accounts or services, for disclosure of 3427 accounts. 66 percent of the requests were partially or fully complied.
